A simple recipe for Rice Payasam that is 100% vegan, sugar free, jaggery free, healthy and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients
2 cups soaked seedless Dates
1 ½ cups Water

½ cup Almond Butter
2 tbsp Desiccated Coconut
2 pods of Cardamom (powdered)
a tiny pinch of Edible Camphor
1 cup cooked Rajamudi Rice
Payasam Base
Main
Directions
Grind all ingredients under “Payasam Base” to a smooth paste.
Once ground, transfer the Payasam Base to a pan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
When the mixture starts to bubble, add the cooked rice to it and mix well till everything comes together.
Let everything boil for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously.
Remove from heat and garnish with some chopped nuts or dry fruits.
Recipe Note
You can serve this dish hot or chilled! Both ways, it is a crowd favourite!
