Jam is a pantry staple for most families and its a very versatile condiment to have on hand! Sadly, it’s usually filled with sugar. Here is an entirely fruit-sweetened version for you to try!
It's a simple concept. You love jam, but you don't want to use sugar in your diet. There are jams out there that have no added sugar- they instead of using fruit puree sweetened with stevia or erythritol, they use additives and thickeners to achieve the same texture as regular jam. We don't like those products! We wanted something that was actually fruit-sweetened, so we created this recipe for you to enjoy!

Ingredients
Strawberries 1 kg
Apple juice 1 cup
Dates 200g
Chia seeds 3 tbsp
Directions
Wash the strawberries and grind the dates and strawberries together.
In a large pot, stir together the apple juice, strawberries, and dates.
Boil on high heat for a minute, stirring constantly. Remove it from heat, and skim the foam, if necessary.
Add your chia seeds to the jam.
Let it cool for 30 min, then pour it into individual glass containers and put it in a fridge.
The jam will be fully set within 2 hours or can be used immediately also.
The jam will last for about 1 week in the fridge and can be frozen in small containers if needed.
Recipe Note
This jam is good for you and your family. Studies show that excessive sugar consumption can contribute to a vast array of health issues and should be limited, especially in children. This fruit-sweetened jam was developed so that you can enjoy the sweet taste of the fruit without all the added sugar — making it an excellent choice when trying to cut down on sugar consumption while still enjoying the taste of jam!
