This is our attempt at an oil-free recipe. All you need to do is to follow the given instructions given below to make a delicious, healthy and tasty Vada Pav. This is a recipe for the vada portion. To this, you will need to add the chutneys and the whole grain bread.

Ingredients
4 Potatoes
1 cup Besan Flour / Gram flour
3 Green chili
1 tsp Mustard seeds
2 tsp Hing
1 tsp Amchoor Powder
Salt
½ Lemon

½ cup peanut butter
pinch of baking soda
½ baking powder
Directions
Take potatoes and boil it.
After boiling the potatoes peel off the skin of potatoes, smash them together and keep them in a bowl.
Add mustard seeds, chopped green chili, Amchoor powder, turmeric and Asafoetida (Hing).
Mix all together and gently dry roast to make a tadka.
Add this tadka mixture in the smashed potatoes.
Mix it all together.
Add lemon juice and give it a good mix.
Make small sized balls of this mixture and keep it on a plate.
Take gram flour in the bowl.
Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, peanut butter, baking soda, baking powder in the gram flour.
Mix it all.
Start making batter for Vada by adding little amount of water. Mixture should be thick enough to wrap the Vada.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade and get out a baking tray and silicone baking sheet or baking paper.
Take a ball made from the potato mixture and dip it in the gram flour mixture, dip it well and place it on your baking sheet.
Place the vadas on the pre heated tray, and cook at 180° for 18 - 25 min baked on size and enjoy between 2 halves of whole grain bread!
