Dr. Sathyanath from the National Institute of Naturopathy called me, "We have a CME. We would like to invite you as a speaker."
Some were doing their MD.
Some were teaching MD courses.
Some were CMOs of huge hospitals.
When I shared our inspiring stories, they all clapped.
But, "Do your patients actually follow a healthy lifestyle?" They slowly shook their heads NO.
"It's too difficult with their family, with their work hours, with their cravings..."
Well, it's too difficult when you have a heart attack.
So how to make it easy to be healthy?
We discovered the science of Lifestyle Medicine.
The Adventist studies.
The Lifestyle Heart Trial.
The EAT-Lancet commission.
The Global Burden of Disease Study.
One of the doctors said, "There is so much conflicting information. We listen to many talks that all say opposite things. We don't know what to do at the end."
I hope our session at yesterday's CME helped clear up some of this with evidence-based nutrition.
The cherry on the cake was a fantastic whole food plant based feast I curated with the MRR Nature Cure Hospital, with
Deepest gratitude to Dr. Sathyalakshmi, Dr. Sathyanath, Dr. Jay and team NIN; Dr. Chetan, Dr. Pranamya and team MRR, for this opportunity.
I'm sure these 30 doctors, who have joined the Plant-based Movement, will go on to empower lakhs of patients to live longer, healthier lives.
