:)Having children at home is a constant reminder of life. Volatile and peaceful, all at the same time. Look at what Shreevibha, our entrepreneur for Snacks has to say.
My little 4 year old and her friend spend a lot of time together..
They enjoy showing off their precious possessions to each other creating sparks of jealousy.
While with clothes and pencils, it did not bother me much, it got a bit troubling when it involved food, especially sweets and chocolates laden with lots of sugar, oil and dairy.
My 4 year old just could not resist wanting to eat them when her friend came by eating one.
Karanji without milk, maida, oil and sugar
I had requested the girls before to refrain from sharing dairy and oil-based food and so my little one was not offered these so called goodies.
Naturally, a loud hue and cry followed each time this happened in the beginning...
After a violent fit for 30 mins during the last of such shows, which I sat through along with her and empathised, my little one inconsolably asked, 'I want to eat them, can you please make the same thing with good sweets and no cow milk?'
I told her I would for sure.
I asked Daakshayini akka our head chef at Sampoorna Snacks if she had made Karanji earlier, She said yes, but of course with maida and deep fried in oil.
So we sat down, wrote the recipe and changed every single ingredient that was not whole and plant-based.
It had to be a Karanji without milk, Karanji without maida and so on.
Multiple trials later we finally came up with the best karanji recipe to make flaky and sweet Karanji without a drop of oil and sugar.
That evening, I gave my little girl and her friend, one each, and a few minutes later both came back asking for more! :)
We saw the need for better food choices for our children, ourselves and everyone who wants to eat healthy and Sampoorna Ahara is just all about making that happen!"
Now, are there any more special requests from your children that you might want to try? Just send us your requests. We shall have them made for you, in a healthy manner.
Be Blessed by the Divine!
Shreevibha.
